  FRANK M. HERZ

  ARTISTIC STATEMENT

My work revolves around organic forms like those found in nature. I was a sculptor for many years before

turning to painting and still views subject matter as objects with there three dimensionality emphasized.

These paintings are my interpretation of what I see in nature or what I would like to see. They are unique

plant forms created by my imagination. I carefully work and rework the colors, shadings, depth and forms

  in the paintings.

The process of creating a new painting is laborious, challenging, sometimes

depressing, but at the completion - satisfaction.
